The court is divided into standard basketball zones: the paint (restricted area and key), mid-range (between the paint and 3-point line), and three zones beyond the arc (corner 3, wing 3, top of key 3). When you click on the court, the tool automatically determines which zone the shot belongs to based on its position.
Effective Field Goal Percentage (eFG%) adjusts for the fact that 3-point shots are worth more than 2-point shots. The formula is: eFG% = (FGM + 0.5 × 3PM) / FGA. It gives a better picture of shooting efficiency than standard FG%.
